Had a fantastic dinner last weekend at @thehappycranesf , the highly anticipated new modern Chinese restaurant helmed by @chefjamesparry who has over 10 years of experience working at Michelin starred restaurants around the world including @benu_sf My favorite dishes of the night were the hawthorn berry oysters, crab rice roll, salted egg yolk squash, and maitake biang biang noodles 🍜 They have a $120 tasting menu but we did a la carte which came out to be $87 pp before tax and tip (including 1 drink each), and we were very happy with the amount of food we got. I definitely want to go back for the Peking duck experience as well as some of the other dishes we didn’t get to try They’re booked solid for the next month but reservations open at noon 30 days ahead, and they take limited walk-ins each day.
