While on the yard, I walked by a brotha getting his hair braided and said to the homie doing it, “I’m next!” in a joking, but dead serious manner. He said “I got you.” He then proceeded to get me right! You see, @betweenthelinesus is more than just a prison basketball program, it’s an opportunity to find common ground and connect with our brothers and sisters on the inside, as humans, regardless of their pasts or what they’re into.
