Y’all. The last few days have been an absolute dream. I keep taking naps and waking up, then remembering that this is all really happening 😳 But before I get all emotional... let’s get into my ALL-STAR GLAM SQUAD. I had a very specific vision for how I wanted to look & feel at my first #EMMY Ceremony and I wanna take this time to highlight the beautiful Black artists who helped me bring it all together. First off, we have @summerjoi on my beautiful custom ensemble dress. We literally pulled this off in less than a week (more on that laterrrr) and she went above and beyond to make me feel like a Sun Goddess! She hand painted my shoes and studded them out for the GAWDS, bedazzled a matching purse AND did @amirahlindsey’s corset & suit tailoring. Just EVERYTHING! 🌻 Then we have the wonderful @vanessakeri on the IMMACULATE FACE BEAT!!! I will literally trust her with my face ANY DAY. And can we get into this bedazzlement?! Y’all know I’ma rhinestone Queen and wheeeww, she delivert!! Now let’s talk about the HAIR YALL. Ima start by saying... My original stylist for the day completely fumbled the bag & ghosted me THE MORNING OF THE EMMYS 🤬🤔 BUT AN ANGEL in the form of @salih_abdul (owner of @loclovla) came to my rescue and SLAYED these Bantu Knots IN THE CLUTCH, just in time for me to get my makeup done. Special shoutout to @amberabundance for sliding me his number at the LAST MINUTE and interceding on my behalf 😭 It took a VILLAGE to pull this off and trust, I will be talking about this for a longgggg time to give y’all the full scoop + BTS, so stay tuned!!!
