I programmed my Alexa devices so that every morning at 7am, the house is filled with worship music. It has been the most perfect way to wake up and start my day and here’s why. 1) I wake up to the name of Jesus filling my soul. I used to hate waking up because this annoying alarm would go off and I’d snooze making me wake up feeling groggy. Now, I hear worship music that makes me smile and I just want to sing. It fills my soul from the second my eyes open. 2) I never give the devil the opportunity to pay me a visit. Ephesians 4:27 says “and do not give the devil a foothold.” If you fill your heart with the Lord, there will be no room left for the enemy to take hold. 3) Simply feels good. My mood has genuinely improved in the mornings by doing this. It allows me to go into the day with a heart filled with gratitude helping me be still in the chaos of life.
