After the opening of @hayward.gallery ‘In the Black Fantastic’, LGDR London @lgdr.art and myself opened a new exhibition: ‘Rite of Passage — Lina Iris Viktor, César, Louise Bourgeois, Louise Nevelson and Yves Klein’ June 30 — September 17, 2022 A new work — ‘I bargained with my sins and shed my skins’, 2022, is exhibited alongside some of my favourite historic artists who have each uniquely and powerfully inspired my practice, my way of viewing, and my sensibility. To see my work within this context, in conversation amongst the greats within the history of art is humbling. I would like to thank the impeccable team at LGDR for their vision, for their immense kindness and support throughout the past few months of creating both exhibitions, and for imagining this exhibition to sit alongside ‘In the Black Fantastic’. To say it has been a pleasure is an understatement.
