šŸŽ™ ā€œTalk your sh*t and post about itā€- a remix of the best advice on public I’ve ever received. More insights below šŸ‘‡šŸ¾ I remember being approached for my first ever speaking opportunity by @renee.cd (who I barely knew at the time) and thinking ā€œwhy is she asking me? I’m still figuring it out!ā€ But speaking with her, she allowed me to realise how valuable my experience SO FAR is, and how much I can share from where I WAS at the time. Fast forward to a few weeks back, I was approached to speak on a @americanexpressuk panel exploring the subscription economy, amongst some founders/seniors from other companies including @citizenm @pastaevangelists and @wearefeel After the event I received some really special feedback and had some great conversations with those in the audience incl. seniors/directors from Burberry and the AMEX team themselves. My advice: Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, and no matter how far you feel you are from reaching your ā€œdreamsā€ or ā€œgoalsā€ my only advice (and I generally don’t offer advice, I only share my experiences lol) is to: šŸ—£SHARE MORE. I didn’t reach out, I didn’t pitch. I believe the opportunity arose as a by product of being in the arena and embracing the discomfort and vulnerability of it all. Side note: I WAS VERY comfortable on stage, and felt very relaxed. I knew what I was talking about and I wore an outfit that made me look cute, that’s all I need šŸ˜…
