ou asked for it—so I’m making it happen. This is the start of bringing this PokéPlanter to life 🍃🔔 When I posted a video of the first one I made for my friend, it reached over half a million people, with hundreds of you asking: “Is this for sale?” As a ceramic artist, that’s equal parts exciting and terrifying—because going viral doesn’t mean you suddenly have inventory, funding, or a product ready to go. So here’s a look at how this piece starts—hand-sculpted in monster clay, then eventually turned into a slipcast mold so it can be reproduced without losing its handmade charm. This isn’t wheel-thrown. It’s not 3D printed. This is slow, sculptural ceramic work, designed to feel personal and collectible—especially for those of you who love nostalgic, character-driven pieces like this Pokémon-inspired planter. In this video I’m sharing part 1: the sculpt. Up next? Mold making, slipcasting, and glaze testing. I’ll be documenting the full process, from idea to finished piece, so if you’re curious about what it really takes to make something like this at scale—without mass-manufacturing it or burning out in the process—follow along. This is where art meets process. Where fandom meets function. And where a silly video turns into a real, tangible piece of work. Would you want a Victreebel Planter of your own? Let me know below and stay tuned for updates 💚
