Much of the moisture evaporates or is absorbed by the plaster and after prodding it for a few days, to check that it’s in the right condition, it’ll be taken off and wedged. Spiral wedging is a skill I forced myself to learn when I was 17 years old, I was watching potters do it on YouTube and I knew from that very moment that I must figure it out for myself.
