For some reason, I just couldn’t give myself permission. Maybe it’s the Mormon upbringing... maybe it’s the fear that I wouldn’t work with pierced ears... maybe it’s some other bullshit that doesn’t matter. What matters is being the fullest, most authentic expression of myself that I can be, each and every single day. Today, I let a little bit more of my light shine. Today, I did something that I was afraid of. Today, I did something that I wanted to do, and I did it with my dear friend whom I love. Today, I felt fucking great about myself. I can’t think of a better way to start #pride month, than doing something that affirms my pride in me. I love being who I am.
