In early December, I performed "Triveni" with Ustad Zakir Hussain and Vidushi Jayanthi Kumaresh in Bangalore. I wore this beautiful Kanjeevaram saree from @Taniera_Sarees. This shot peach colour saree is elegance in geometry. Although it looks completely contemporary, every motif used is steeped in tradition. The body texture is a skilful use of the Arai Madam (half diamond) design. The pallu has 3 bands of the Kattupet (textured lines) edged with the Rudraksh border to complement the geometry of the body. I chose this saree for its effortless elegance and beauty in the minute details. I was also delighted to know about Taneira’s initiative “Weavershala” - a commitment to preserving the traditional crafts, emphasising on upgrading infrastructure and workplace facilities for the weavers, thus enabling them to work in a comfortable and well-structured environment with respect and dignity.
