Join @vpam_arts and @elachuskies for a "Reproductive Justice: History & Activism Today" Panel on Saturday, October 22nd from 1-3pm for a Reproductive Justice community dialogue presented in conjunction with the exhibition Phung Huynh: Sobrevivir at the Vincent Price Art Museum! Scholars and advocates will discuss the history of Chicanx/Latinx forced sterilization, 40 years after the historic Madrigal vs. Quilligan court case. Panelists including Dr. Angela Acosta, ELAC Chicana/o Studies Professor, Dr. Nadine Bermudez, ELAC Chicana/o Studies Professor, and Laura Jimenez, Executive Director, California Latinas for Reproductive Justice will emphasize how race, class, and gender intersect with the current landscape of reproductive rights and healthcare.
