Join @vpam_arts and @elachuskies for a "Reproductive Justice: History & Activism Today" Panel on Saturday, October 22nd from 1-3pm for a Reproductive Justice community dialogue presented in conjunction with the exhibition Phung Huynh: Sobrevivir at the Vincent Price Art Museum! Scholars and advocates will discuss the history of Chicanx/Latinx forced sterilization, 40 years after the historic Madrigal vs. Quilligan court case. Panelists including Dr. Angela Acosta, ELAC Chicana/o Studies Professor, Dr. Nadine Bermudez, ELAC Chicana/o Studies Professor, and Laura Jimenez, Executive Director, California Latinas for Reproductive Justice will emphasize how race, class, and gender intersect with the current landscape of reproductive rights and healthcare. This series of conversations and workshops focused on Reproductive Justice and community healing will be free and open to the community.
