Core memory in Seattle: waking up at 530 am for a 6am fishing trip. Catching 8 salmon in the span of 3 hrs. Vomiting off the side of the boat cuz my dramamine didn’t work. Watching the seals patiently waiting for the captain of the boat to discard the salmon left overs. Making and eating fresh ikura (salmon eggs) for the first time in my life. And sharing our catch with the rest of the cast in a salmon cookout night because we had more than enough to go around.
