Happy 4th of July! Extra special celebration in our house this year as we’re excited to share some news... As my beautiful wife wrote on her page: “babyU, we are overjoyed and can’t wait to meet you ... our fighter and Christmas baby miracle. your arrival will be the best gift we are ever to receive. at nearly 16 weeks, the journey has been an emotional one and not the smoothest. our 11 week ultrasound yielded concern and resulted in weeks of testing and procedures to rule out potential issues. after a monthlong roller coaster of emotions, we recently learned that (despite initial beliefs), our baby is miraculously free and clear of any chromosomal issues. although elated with the news, we know our path of uncertainty isn’t quite over as we still have a couple more months of testing to eliminate possible physical and/or heart issues. nonetheless, we’re remaining optimistically faithful while knowing our baby has its momma’s fighting spirit and will be a firecracker indeed! since looking into babyU’s specific chromosomes, i know the sex of our little gem but Mark has decided to be surprised. having said, babyU’s gender and name will be revealed at its arrival! please keep us in your thoughts and prayers in the meantime. growing bigger and counting down to 12.22.21!” ❤️
