In 2020, as part of our long-term plan to support and empower Black folk, we announced the launch of our $1,000,000 Scholarship Program for Black Canadians. ⁠ ⁠ Applications for 2023 start dates are open today! ⁠ ⁠ Once again we are partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery Access Canada who are supporting four additional scholarships for applicants with aspirations to work in the Hair and Makeup departments in the film & television industry! ⁠ ⁠ Our goal is to remove barriers to education that have faced the Black community and, in turn, change the landscape of various industries both locally and nationally by empowering applicants with the education to turn their passions into success. We are filled with gratitude for the people who have taken time and energy to help build a better future with us.⁠ ⁠⠀⁠⁠ While we acknowledge that it’s going to take time and effort to make these important changes, we are committed to doing the work and we’re honoured that you have chosen to move alongside us.⁠⁠ We also are committed to expanding the reach of our scholarship programs to other communities who have been impacted by structural injustice.
