Well it seems like winter has come early here in Tahoe. I don’t mind that honestly. We desperately need the precip. The season has been a rough one to say the least. I spent the last 7 months preparing both mentally and physically to try and complete some major goals I have here. 4 next level projects that I’ve put countless efforts in to and finally this season I felt ready. Though in the end it wasn’t in the cards. We had some of the worst wildfires California has ever seen which immediately shut down most of the available climbing we have here. I found new motivations down on the East side but then was abruptly side lined with a bad hamstring injury. We also lost our beloved dog, Oreo. Which was devastating.. It’s hard to not feel a little bitter but in the end it just is what it is. Sometimes the magic works and we have success, but most of the time the glory is just out of reach. It’s nothing new to me and at the end of the day its all about your perspective, and what you choose to do next. I’m motivated. As fuck. I’ll focus on the good vibes, and the good times this past year has brought me. I’ll be thankful for what I have, and bight down even harder preparing for what’s to come. 😈. I did however manage a very nice line a week or so ago that I had put some effort in to last season. It’s a beautiful font style prow but instead of comfy slopers you’re climbing on micro crimps. Not exactly my cup of tea, but damn what a line. ‘Bludnik’ V14 FA. 🙏#bouldering #southlaketahoe 📸 @patinaeater @tenayaclimbing @organicclimbing @metoliusclimbing
