My dear friend Nick knocked on my screen a few months ago and invited me to share my Story on his podcast, Drunkalogues. I said Yes, a first and big step for me. I’ve been asked many times to share my story and until Nick asked me- it’s been a No. Someday, but no. I am a super private person working in a controversial field. Talking publicly has been a several year process for me - and then Covid happened, time lines sped up and the world changed. Today is the perfect day to share a bit more about my life, healing journey, and celebrate my friend @mortonopoulis ‘s 11 years of sobriety! 🙏💫 🪶 We are in a deep worldwide reckoning and folks are in trauma, hurting and looking for relief. Let’s get real, for many the pandemic was a place to let things slide, why not have another cocktail and watch Tiger King or whatever? Many folks heavy drinking turned into a family problem in Covid and plenty of kids I know sent their parents to rehab in lockdown. Addiction is not just a personal disease but one that effects Everyone in your household and around you. If you are struggling with addiction I understand- here’s my drinking story. I found the path to recovery through Alcoholics Anonymous, A Course in Miracles and most importantly, through Psychedelics. 🪶 I found a Peruvian Shaman who helped me and I was called to apprentice with him for several years.
