29029 is not a race in terms of winners and losers. We don’t climb to see who is the fastest or can do the most ascents. We climb to discover who we can become in the time we’ve been given. ⁠ ⁠ The race is against the clock. ⁠ ⁠ Just before 6am on Friday morning 283 participants will line up at the base of Whistler Blackcomb. When the horn sounds a 36-hour clock will begin its countdown. ⁠ Participants may stop for lunch, to get a massage, or sleep for a few hours. ⁠ ⁠ The clock? It never stops. ⁠ ⁠ That clock is a constant reminder that our time on this mountain is limited and we better use the moments we have left. ⁠ ⁠ Who can you become in 36-hours on the mountain at 29029?⁠ ⁠ One thing is certain on this mountain, you can’t get to the next summit if you don’t KEEP CLIMBING 💯🏔️⚡️⁠
