TW ED On the left, I was skinny. On the left, I was unhappy, unhealthy, obsessive, unkind, depressed, addicted, judgemental, lonely, and anxious. On the left, I was sick. On the right, I am chubby. On the right I am, happy, honest, funny, open-minded, strong, compassionate, wise, confident, and educated. On the right, I am healing. Being skinny doesn't make everything better. For me, I was never skinny enough, there was never a number on the scale I was happy with. My focus was always on food and how I looked. I was severely affected by how people thought of me. It stopped me from going outside, it created extreme paranoia and I was reduced to a shell of a person, constantly trying to impress others. I lost my sense of self. I have since learnt that the less you worry about what people think of you, the more acceptant you will become of yourself, and others. You become more open-minded, compassionate, and empathetic. You will start to know your self-worth. You can start saying "no". You can think about what YOU want and not just do things to please others. Your body is simply a vessel that keeps us alive. If you want to be happy, you must change your mindset. Start by making little changes. Here are some ideas to start you off: ❤️ Positive affirmations ❤️ Interrupt negative thoughts ❤️ Journal your feelings ❤️ Stop restricting your diet ❤️ Unfollow toxic people ❤️ Say "no" more often ❤️ Stop editing your body/face with apps & filters ❤️ Read self-help books ❤️ Talk to a friend if you're struggling . #selfhelp #body #bodypositive #bopo #mentalhealth #edrecovery #recovery #selflove #selfcare #beauty #effyourbeautystandards #iweigh #bodyconfidence #lifecoach #advice #plus #plussize #normalisenormalbodies #realbody #thenvsnow #bodylove #curvy #chubby #skinny #ed #everybodyisabikinibody #empoweredwomenempowerwomen #woman #iamwoman #femaleempowerment
