Ten years ago today, Marie Colvin was killed by the Assad regime as she reported from the besieged city of Homs in Syria. Journalists of her ilk are too often killed precisely for that commitment to the truth which sets them apart. Giving a voice to people who would never otherwise have their stories heard was her lifelong missIon. It is important work and must never be silenced.
