Save the date!!!!! Hoping that you are around to celebrate our graduating cohort @ucberkeley_artpractice on Friday May 13th 5-8pm @bampfa Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive!! It’s been a challenge, I won’t lie! Growth has happened within a pandemic, moving and sharing my art practice in-between Seattle and the Bay Area, and experimenting outside of the medium of photography. Thankfully we have made it, and they say it’s all about the journey! Here’s a sneak peak of a 3D printed okra, modeled from a single pod that surprisingly grew in the garden I tend in Seattle last year, during the regions hottest summer on record. Expect to see 479 more in the museum space, alongside another sculpture, all suggesting possibilities and futures for Black diasporic identity ✨✨
