Growing up we didn’t have many black role models within the visible media in the uk. There were never any black people on tv and when there was the phone would ring, just to let you know. That was how much of an anomaly it was back then. I want to salute and big up @estelledarlings for this homage. It’s so nice to be seen, acknowledged and appreciated and know that all my hard work hasn’t been in vain. If i could even open one door or inspire another brilliant human being into walking into their greatness. This slug has been worth it lol. I obviously pay homage myself to the greats like @mica_paris_soul @rosewindross @leejohn @soul2souluk @omar_lyefook just to name a few. Who came before me to pave the way and also to my peers like @iamterriwalker @sholaama @beverleyknight. I am and will always be unapologetically black with a little cockney thrown in 😍 So glad my black face, talent and grace was seen as inspirational.
