25 was interesting. I’ve always said that I’ve felt much older for my age, and this year put me through it ! It started with knowing my half brother got into a car accident and having to visit him at the hospital, and STILL perform at Stonewall Inn for my birthday show. I lost a couple of friendships, rekindled some old ones, learned what a true support system looks like. I learned not to make the same mistakes over and over again, to learn from them and grow. I had moments where I wanted to quit drag and give it all up, I’ve also had moments where I couldn’t believe that I am so lucky to be able to do this crazy thing we call drag as my full-time job. I’ve had many ups and a couple of downs that casted a huge shadow on my life. I learned a lot about self-love and acceptance, and not giving a fuck about what other people think about me. I’m excited to see what 26 has in store for me. I’m truly blessed to be able to celebrate my 26th birthday and also my 5th year anniversary on World Pride Weekend.
