Ana Mendieta's "Untitled (Glass on Body Imprints)" (972) is currently on view in the exhibition "A Feminist Avant-Garde. Photographs and Performances of the 1970s from the Verbund Collection, Vienna" at the @rencontresarles, France. The show features over 200 works by 71 female artists and its title refers to “an” Avant-Garde, one containing a multitude of feminist movements, diverse in age, nationality, and culture. ⁠ ⁠ In a brief yet prolific career, the Cuban-born artist @AnaMendietaOfficial created groundbreaking work in photography, film, video, drawing, sculpture, and site-specific installations.
