THEY ALL NEED HYDRATION! 💦 All curls need to be hydrated and they need to be moisturized. When you’re styling, make sure you have ENOUGH water in the hair. Your texture (how the hair feels: is it fine, medium or coarse?) and porosity (low, medium and high) determines how much water you need in the hair to hydrate. It’s hard out here on these streets y’all-you have people telling you, do this, use these products, sleep with your hair this way, make an altar 😂 it doesn’t have to be that difficult. When you have a stylist you can trust, they will educate you on what’s best for you hair. My prescription is simple- WATER. Then you moisturize with my go to, @hairstorystudio Hair Balm. I add hold with gel. My go to is Ouidad Advanced climate control...but remember, these products may not work for you, so just make sure you’re using something water soluble! These are products that don’t block the water from penetrating and staying in your hair strands. I use this combo on just about all of my clients. What are you using now?
