ad August always kicks off blankets, didn’t take to traditional swaddling and likes to suckle his hands to soothe himself to sleep. I often found he’d be very fussy at bed time and this was at the same time my toddler was due to go to sleep! I quickly became overwhelmed and an approaching evening would make me quite anxious especially if I was solo parenting due to Daddy being at work on a late shift. We’ve been using the @lovetodream_uk Stage 1 Swaddle UP for a few weeks now and I’ve noticed a HUGE change in August’s sleep, as well as my own routine! August still has access to his hands thanks to the natural positioning of the swaddle as his arms are by his head. So he can suckle away until he’s settled which usually only takes a few seconds! It also has two zips, making nappy changes a breeze during the night feeds. Knowing he’s settled and snoozing away means I can give Elodie my full attention and get her to bed. It’s taken a lot of pressure off myself as I usually do bed times alone and I no longer become nervous at the prospect. In fact, knowing August will settle easily and that Elodie will be asleep at a reasonable time makes me excited!
