T I N T A G E L 📍 Well that’s a wrap of our August Bank Holiday weekend in what seems like a snap of the fingers but it’s been so lovely exploring Cornwall/North Devon coastal paths. Literally feel like we’re aboard every time we visit here 😍 One of the new places we explored was Tintagel and if you look closely in the background not only can you see the castle ruins but situated straight under this is also Merlin’s Cave. According to the Arthurian legends, Merlin the Wizard is meant to have lived right in this cave. Merlin is a character in Welsh mythology and in the tales of King Arthur and was firstly known from Welsh poetry 📝 If you want to visit this cave and walk the coastal path it is completely FREE! You don’t have to pay the entry fee to Tintagel castle ruins. I would highly recommend this as it’s a beautiful coast path 🌊
