Hey there. Here’s us, a lil intro 🖤 I cant remember the last time we introduced ourselves, so I wanted to say hey. We’re Nate and Megan. Partners in life and photography. We’re based in Joshua Tree California, in a small adobe home near the national park we love so much. We’ve lived a lot of different places — Texas, Colorado, California, and a two year stint of full time travel all over the West in our airstream. We’ve lived in a tent, a car, various apartments, homes, and our beloved trailer. Needless to say, we love travel and will take whatever means we can afford to do it. We’ve been married almost 7 years. We met when we were art students in Texas, in an oil painting class. Nate’s easel was next to mine, and I always needed his help to open my bottle of mineral spirits 😉 Not long after, we got married in a small ceremony on a foggy cliffside in Big Sur (still one of the absolute best days of our lives). We’ve built our life and our partnership on being able to pursue our passions, always connecting through challenging ourselves to try new things and being outdoors as much as possible (and making art from those experiences). Since we got married, we’ve hiked many miles through a California, Colorado, Arizona, climbed mountains in the US and abroad, and built this wonderful business we get to call ours. Photography is a wild art form, one that merges technical thinking with creative composing. It feels especially appropriate that as partners we would choose this art form. Nate is the problem solving, detail oriented one, while I tend to be the creative big picture thinker. He teaches me new techniques, I teach him to compose. It’s a well-oiled machine we have built and we love it. We believe weddings are such a beautiful opportunity for real storytelling. We always aim to capture our couples stories in unique ways, encouraging couples to consider what makes them “them”, and toss whatever doesn’t fit. Our work is a mix of editorial, documentary, and landscape photography — using whichever style tells the story best. We love this work.
