The exhibition “Collezione Henraux 1960-1970”, a collaboration between @fondazionehenraux and @gallerieditalia, opens its doors to the public today. The archival collection of Fondazione Henraux is on display in the octagonal courtyard and in the Giardino d’Alessandro of the Gallerie d’Italia, with exhibition set-up and scenography by @2050.plus.
In an ideal connection between content and matter, the exhibition design proposes a series of lithic tables using marble offcuts from the Foundation’s production line in Querceta, Tuscany. Each table is an assemblage of parts, showcasing signs of the industrial process of marble extraction and production. Similar marble pieces also take the form of benches in the outer garden space, framing seven Henraux sculptures currently in the @intesasanpaolo collection, including the works of Joan Miró, Jean Arp and Giò Pomodoro, among others.
In July, the marble pieces will travel back to Fondazione Henraux’s long-standing headquarters for a second edition of the exhibition, before re-entering the production cycle.
