@froskate I can’t believe we are turning 3! Been such a fast roller coaster ride I rarely have time to sit and digest what is going on 😂. I’m just so grateful for skateboarding and for every single person who has showed up for us over the years. Many people expect us to have everything figured out and put together but we really have been building the train as we go and I’m so amazed by how much growth and success we have had in just 3 years of existence. To be the first to create something like this in Chicago and open the doors for others to follow our path is no feat I take lightly. To create a space for skaters of all identities and backgrounds and levels and wheels isn’t something I had planned for my life, nor has it been easy, but God, the Universe gave me this incredible opportunity and responsibility to do this work, we keeping on. In JUST 3 years we’ve produced over 70 events, launched seasons of merch and gone through so many phases with such a small team..we been doing everything in house, by hand. I can’t even begin to explain how much work and sacrifice goes into work like that and thank everyone who has touched hands on froSkate work over the years. I think about orgs like @skatelikeagirl who’ve been around for 22+ years and marvel at the work they do, understanding how much time it takes to start getting things right ❤️. Thank you to everyone who has trusted us so young 💕. Thank you to everyone who has shown up, shared a flyer, donated, commented, bought merch, everything. 🥂🍻Here’s to another year of @froSkate.
