On this day in 1991, the band took home 6 awards at the MTV Video Music Awards for Video Of The Year, Best Art Direction, Best Breakthrough Video, Best Editing, Best Group Video & Best Direction (w/ Tarsem), all for "Losing My Religion." Bill, Mike & Michael along with Tarsem were present to accept the awards, in which Michael wore a variety of sloganed t-shirts & when accepting awards would take one off to reveal another slogan.
