This book is romance perfection! We follow Alba and Theo. Alba has been Theo’s assistant for the past couple of years and is ready to spread her wings and dive right into her side business of bookish room makeovers. Like can she be my best friend? She’s considered a workaholic by many, but I think many Latinas like me will see that sometimes it’s just hard to say no. Saying no can mean never being asked for an opportunity again. I found so much of myself in her drive. Then we have THEO. Sighhh THEOOO. 🥰 We find out for the past years Alba has worked for him, he had been suppressing his feelings *cough cough* obsession for Alba. When she quits Theo is jolted to life and follows her to Texas, where she is thinking about residing and currently pursuing a job. Alba and Theo somehow have to work together on a home makeover reality show, so we get forced proximity, forced living together, and forced discovery of relieved tensions. Code for THEO IS A FREAK! I love these two, I love the break down of walls, I love their character development, I love the friend group, I LOVE IT ALL! You need this book! I have a full review written up, linked in my bio.
