The not-so-glamorous side of being a full-time ceramic artist. Everyone sees the satisfying transitions—wet clay becoming a polished piece. But what you don’t always see are the long, repetitive, necessary steps behind the scenes. Like unloading a full kiln of bisque-fired Pokémon pieces… and hand-washing every single one before glaze day. It’s tedious, but it’s part of the process—especially when you’re making nerdy, handmade ceramic art that people connect with. This is just a little window into the quieter, unfiltered parts of my studio life here in Houston. It’s not always cinematic—but it’s real, and it’s necessary. #ceramicart #ceramicprocess #pokemonart #kilnunloading #ceramicartist #bisquefired
