Oh no! We are out of Earth’s budget! Today, The Netherlands has reached it’s Earth Overshoot Day. The date was set on the 12th of April 2022 (!), and many more European countries will bust Earth’s budget for this year soon. 🌍 But what does this even mean? 👉🏼 It means that we are running out of resources. A country’s Earth Overshoot Day marks the date when this region’s population would officially have used up as many resources from nature as the planet renews per person in the entire year.
