Words cannot express how honored I am to be working with my client Laverne Cox, for the last few years. She is truly a dream to work with. She is one of the most kind, humble, generous and heartfelt people I know and have to pleasure to photograph. My favorite thing is watching her dance, always with such a big beaming smile. I appreciate her so much for being such a pioneer and activist for the Trans & LQBTQIA community, and pure inspiration on so many levels. Being a support and advocate to these communities is very important to me and dear to my heart. Recently, Barbie released their Tribute Collection and gave Laverne Cox her own Barbie doll!! I was so excited when they reached out to me to use one of my photographs of her for the packaging. To be a part of this felt so meaningful and special. When I received the package in the mail, along with this sweet note, it brought tears to my eyes. This is a moment in my career that I will never forget, and I am so happy that Laverne is honored and seen for how amazing she is. She wears a triple-threat original design, featuring a deep red tulle gown gracefully draped over a dazzling, silver metallic bodysuit. Her hair is swept into glamorous Hollywood waves while dramatic makeup completes her look. #Laverencox #barbie #TransIsBeautiful #ProtectTransKids #TransRightsAreHumanRights
