We have incredible tools and techniques to precisely localize, identify, and remove brain tumors. Many can be cured with surgery. Despite this, we continue to fight to prevent some cancers from coming back, depending on chemotherapy and radiation to treat the invisible tumor cells we cannot remove. Knowing this, giving patients difficult diagnoses, and helping them on a long journey with an uncertain path is both a privilege and a burden. But better treatments and breakthroughs may be around the corner, and we help patients fight each day, not just for time, but for quality of life with their loved ones.
