Next up is the second of the two cocktails for this year’s @worldclass Don Julio challenge. We were to honor ‘the craft’ of a passionate individual with this cocktail🍸 I turned my head to the man who taught me most in life: my father. He’s a jazz drummer and have taught me to create, to believe in dreams and to follow the roads less taken in life. A true craftsman fueled by passion. But how do I connect jazz and drinks? “How does jazz taste?” Well, looking into the similar traditions of cocktail classics and jazz standards — those 100 specs or songs you keep coming back to — I played with the Rosita cocktail and the tune ‘La Rosita’ (1957 Hawkins & Webster) and twisted both into something new: a World Class cocktail and a drum solo played by my father. On stage, the cocktail was prepared to the beat of my fathers drum, thus bringing our passions together.
