I wrote a cookbook! Yalla Let’s Eat!: Delicious, Authentic Arab Meals Made Easy. Pre-order link is now in my bio! This was such a fun yet challenging project for me. I never, ever thought about becoming a cookbook author (ever!). I never thought I would be good enough. I only saw well-known chef’s with cookbooks. In my head, I didn’t think this was me. When this offer fell into my lap, it took me a while to think about it, and all that came with writing a cookbook. This is no easy task! Imposter syndrome took over – was I good enough? Will people trust me enough to buy a book with their hard earned money? Who would buy a book from a home cook? I set all those thoughts aside, and just went with my gut. I took this project head on. I spent my entire summer creating 60 recipes that are near and dear to my heart. About 80-90% of the recipes in this book are completely brand NEW and exclusive to this book. I tried and tested so many recipes. I had so many ideas and only 60 could make the cut. I am so happy with the recipes that you will find in there. This book is for EVERYONE! It is for people that may be familiar with Arab foods and flavours. It is for people that grew up with Arab food. It is for people that are interested in Arab food and what it offers but don’t know much about the culture perhaps. Everything you will find is easy enough for all. The premise of this book is incorporating traditional Arab foods in our busy everyday lives, in the most delicious yet quickest way possible. All the pictures you see from the cover to the inside is so close to my heart! For the most part, were all taken in my own home and the foods you see are made by my own hands. To have that published in a book is so wild! I am so happy with how it turned out. I hope you can bring this book in to your homes and place tabs on your favourite recipes and cook from it.
