Rice is life, & How connected are you to rice ? I mean here in Indonesia, Logistically rice is worth more then money, you can’t eat money but we can eat rice 3 meals a day. Rice is the life-blood of Bali. It permeates every aspect of the culture, and has for at least two thousand years. The current system, When it is planting time, everyone comes together to work in the fields and make sure that Bali sees yet another successful rice harvest. Ritual and spirituality are integral to the cycle of growing and harvesting rice. Ceremonies and offerings to Dewi Sri, thanks to our Woman who have the vital role in praying for our rice. ~ rice is in your identity, remember your first fingers that reap the rice. A special thanks to the ( kakeks and dadongs) grandparents that work all day in devotion our rice. Who will continue to make our rice? Siapa lagi kalau bukan kita? All of this is a just a lil reminder to take the time to get to know your closest rice field. Learn a lil on the process, there is a gap in our generations to prepare and understand the process. I always thought if we eat so much of something, we should know the way and significant techniques to preserve and keep it coming to our mouth. Working with the land, for the nourishment in return.
