#35years35things Year: 2005 The Cornerstone company lived on the campus of Grayson Elementary School during the 2005 Institute Summer Residency in the West Stanislaus County communities of Grayson and Westley. Classrooms served as dormitory bedrooms, the cafeteria kitchen was used for preparing 3 meals a day and the cafetorium was a rehearsal space. A lack of existing showers on campus led to the creation of outdoor solar showers. They were lovely to use under a starry sky after a long day in 90+ degree Central Valley heat. Variations of these outdoor showers were also used in Holtville (2007), Pacoima (2010) and Fowler (2011). Items: Outdoor shower (2005) Kerry Farmer, designer & creator
