Took to the airwaves at my favourite spot in Amsterdam, the place where you most likely met me, asking you for a lighter just to never give it back to you. I love my RRFM family and its always a blessing to be given space in a program with so many talented creators, radio makers and curators. This one was for me if I’m really honest, i just wanted to play songs from my friends and productions from people in my life. No genres - no borders - no boundaries, pure unadulterated DEEZ. For me this recent period has been about looking back in order to step correct - reflecting on where I came from so I can better understand where I am going. I think sometimes I was so focused on where I was going I never really took the time to soak in where I was. Back when I was a photographer and I was shooting all the time, it felt easier to reflect as I was forced to reflect on moments I captured on film. Now its been over two years since I’ve been in a darkroom developing film and making prints and my life looks completely different to how it did pre-pandemic. Shout out anyone who has stuck with me since that part of the ride and even bigger props to those who rocked with me before - it has been a pleasure growing as a person so publicly and I hope you enjoy this upcoming chapter.
