The Golden Hours are approaching.. Nothing beats long summer days in the high alpine topped off with a magical bivouac out in the open at 4,184m. Well.. I guess the memories are a little rose tinted as it was one of the worst nights sleep I have had on the hill. 14 hours of climbing from the first @skywaymontebianco lift took us along the incredible Rochefort Arete and Grandes Jorasses Traverse before we dug out a platform on the summit of Pointe Whymper. Moving fast and light has its advantages. But also it’s consequences.. my +1°C sleeping bag was probably at its limit with the wind chill! Still, look at that sunset. Look at those views. Worth it!
