THE LEGEND WORE JUICY - I’m not one for long winded blurbs but it felt necessary to tell my tale with Talley in honor of his passing. I first met @andreltalley at @lilyetcie with @hillypoo in Beverly Hills while I was working at @juicycouture - the moment Rita told that man where I worked he immediately demanded Juicy velour trackpants in the kindest and most sincere way possible. They were his absolute favorite and he had worn out every pair that @pamandgela made for him previously - ofcourse we made it happen. This was ALT for Pete’s sake! Spending the afternoon with Andre was comparable to any boy meeting his favorite sports icon - reading StyleFax (IYKYK) every month in @voguemagazine was like reading the highlights from the football game. We then created quite possibly the largest pair of Juicy velour trackpants ever made at the NY office and he had the entire team in stitches, all star struck by his magnanimous personality. No surprise, but he had the velour color swatch card in his hands in no time - selecting all his favorite colors. His knowledge and deep love for all things fashion history was undeniable and truly magnetic. ALT wore a Caftan and a Tracksuit as if they were both couture, which they both were typically - I will never forget some of the looks this larger than life man presented during fashion week with fur galore or to play tennis in full Vuitton. He will be missed as a true fashion force - REST IN POWER ALT.
