Studio Upgrades: Bravia 7 + Theater U 📺 Believe it or not, the first TV I ever got in my room as a kid was a Sony. It was a Trinitron CRT I used to play my Playstation 2. But shortly after that I got the PS3 and it required a bit of an upgrade, so I got my first flatscreen TV which was also a Sony. Specifically a Bravia KDL. It feels a bit nostalgic to be testing out the Bravia 7 here in the Studio. Sony is known for the quality of their TVs and this one doesn’t disappoint. Here’s the specs: → 4K 120Hz Mini-LED QLED → 480 Local Dimming Zones (65”) → Google TV → Dolby Vision and Atmos, IMAX Enhanced, and DTS: X → AirPlay 2 and Chromecast → HDMI 2.1 4K/120, VRR, ALLM and Source-based Tone Mapping (SBTM) Now at first, I thought the Theater U was a little quirky but after using it, I actually really like it. I think it’s great for people who can’t make a ton of noise in the house, but still want “surround sound.” I don’t think it’s going to be for everyone, but I’m sticking to it.
