Even carnivores will love this Chinese egg tofu 📍Capital (839 Clay Street) San Francisco, CA This small, family owned restaurant in San Francisco’s Chinatown has been around since at least 2005. Many of the dishes are simple but delicious and inspired by many of their favorite childhood memories in China. Most of their dishes cost less than $20 and feature a variety of Chinese techniques. This is a steal in the Bay Area given how large their portion sizes are. My Chinese boyfriend loves it here and I’ll definitely come back for this fried egg tofu dish. The fried egg tofu ($17.95) is a silken tofu made with egg and then fried which results in a creamy interior and crispy exterior The salted cabbage with steamed pork belly ($15.95) braises a fatty chunk of pork belly with some pickled cabbage The lamb stew with tofu curd pot ($20.95) is great for those who enjoy Chinese style lamb stew Where should we try next? #sanfrancisco #sf #food #eats #sffood #sffoodie #bayarea #bayareaeats #bayareafood #bayareasmallbusiness #chinesefood #chinatown #sfchinatown #chineserestaurant #tofu #porkbelly
