“I was at uni studying business when I was diagnosed with cancer. One of the hardest parts was when they told me I’d need seven months of chemo. “I tried to carry on my uni course and did one assessment, but I was really struggling. The university were being great, but I just couldn’t have my treatment and do my course. “My Youth Support Coordinator Anna gave me the best bit of advice I had: to defer for a year and focus on getting better. She said my course would be there for me when I was well enough to do it.” Luc was diagnosed with chondroblastic osteosarcoma of the nasal cavity, just before his 21st birthday. He shares how his Youth Support Coordinator’s advice helped him deal with the impact of cancer on his studies.
