This tiki bar located behind a WeHo hotdog stand is one of the hardest bars in LA to get into. You need a reservation to get into The Lucky Tiki. No walk-ins. But even then the reservation slots book up quickly! But if you do make it in, these are my tips. Wear aloha attire. It's not a required dress code but it makes it more fun. Sit at the bar. There, you get to chat with the bartender and check out the decor and inventory. Don't sleep on the Old Fashioned. Sure, it's a tropical bar, which makes you want to get tropical, juicy drinks. But this one is coconut-washed and it is presented in a smoking treasure chest. Plus it's so tasty. And my fave. For food, they do offer bites like orange chicken and pot stickers but you can also order corn dogs, hot dogs and burgers from Tail o' the Pup. Get the corndog and fries! Don't wear slip-on shoes.
