Before David showed me an earlier cut of The Gorge, my first question to him was, “well, what’s it about?” He said, “it’s a sci-fi love story about two people who fall in love on opposite ends of a sniper scope...and it’s a thriller” (when I asked if it was scary). Sci-fi for me is hit or miss (usually hit), thriller is not usually my cup of tea, and I love a good love story...so of course, I was skeptical when I first started watching. But five min. in, I was intrigued...fifteen min. in, I was HOOKED. Edge of my seat. It’s sooooo good. I love that they’re releasing it on Valentine’s day because it’s so perfect for how the movie unfolds but also not your typical, sappy Valentine’s movie because of the thriller/sci-fi aspect. The storyline is great, the acting is amazing, Miles’ and Anya’s chemistry is spot on...I highly recommend.
