My mind is spinning after the past few days at the @protectourwinters leadership summit... of the many inspiring thoughts and ideas I heard over the past few days, one sticks out... Dr. Greg Nemet said, “We have a moral responsibility to be optimistic on climate change.. pessimism is lazy.” And I do feel optimistic. There is work to be done, no doubt, and I believe we can do it! Where do we start? The midterms this fall. Midterms matter, elections matter, voting matters. If you follow me, you likely love the outdoors and value your way of life, including enjoying cherished natural playgrounds. We care for what we love and we must be stewards of our planet. The next important step is voting. Join me this fall, vote in the midterms and help #StokeTheVote while you are at it. For more info and ideas check out www.StokeTheVote.com and of course follow @protectourwinters. If you want ideas beyond voting, send me a DM! Thank you to the entire @protectourwinters team for another incredible summit. Thank you to all the speakers for sharing your wisdom. And thank you to everyone who helped me out, carried something, picked up my crutches and shared smiles with me, I really appreciate all your help so that I could make it to this event! Also thank you to @hollyshankland for the beautiful photos :) #vote
