Exactly a year ago today I made the most difficult decision of my adult life.. and left a 7 year relationship that no longer served me. I was so broken from it but I knew it was the right choice for me. I started from the ground up and rebuilt my life one day at a time. I remember how utterly terrified and hopeless I felt that first week, having lost everything I loved and worked so hard for. The level of pain that loss can create is often unbearable.. but choosing myself was the bravest, boldest, strongest decision I have ever made and I will forever be in awe of my own strength for making that choice. I’m so proud of myself and for how far I have come. I didn’t allow grief to consume me. I got myself out of bed every single morning, despite how difficult it was, and worked my ass off to get to where I am today. I’m so grateful for my family & all my incredible friends for standing by me and supporting me through it all- Especially @leyla.stefani who has been my rock. @ilahasafazada @jentioseco @hunnyylove @pactography and so many more amazing friends who still continue to show me unconditional love. I hope this gives hope to anyone going through a difficult time. You are stronger than you can imagine.
