When you find prickly pear at the grocery store, you must make it into a syrup. That’s just a rule! So today, we’re going to make a twist on one of my favorite cocktails, the lemon drop, with said prickly pear syrup. We’re making a Prickly Pear Lemon Drop! Drink Recipe: 2 oz Vodka 1 oz Orange Liqueur 1.5 oz Lemon Juice 0.5 oz Prickly Pear Syrup Prickly Pear Syrup Recipe: Add 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of water, 1 prickly pear (without the skin), and a pinch of salt to a sauce pan and bring to a simmer. Strain and let cool Add vodka, orange liqueur, lemon juice and prickly pear syrup to a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake. Strain into a martini glass and garnish.
